GHS Compliance in a Box

Hi, and welcome. I am compliance specialist, Pam Covarrubias. And I'm excited to tell you about GHS Compliance In A Box, a must have for employers who use hazardous or toxic chemicals in the workplace. And that's about everyone. Bottom line, under OSHA's new GHS, globally harmonized system, employers are required to train employees on how to read and identify new symbols and safety data sheets regarding chemicals in the workplace. The deadline for employers to start GHS training was December 2013. The deadline for full implementation is on or before June 2016. To assist with meeting these requirements, we have created the GHS Compliance In A Box. It makes training easy. It protects employees from chemical hazards. It assists you in complying with OSHA GHS standards. There are four components in the box. Let's take a quick look at each and see how each helps the employer meet their requirements. Number one, the GHS labels and pictograms poster. All labels will be required to have pictograms, a signal word, hazard and precautionary statements, product identifier, and supplier identification. Employees must be trained in the new labeling and pictograms standards. Number two, your how to read a safety data sheet SDS poster. The safety data sheet poster trains employees in the new universal format, section numbers, headings and associated information, plus provides a sample SDS safety data sheet. Number three, another very important item, the GHS wallet cards. These requirements are all about informing employees. These durable wallet cards provide quick reference to the OSHA required information, including the new GHS pictograms and SDS labeling requirements. The box includes 10 cards in English and 10 in Spanish. Number four, you need to have a designated place to store your safety data sheets. Our solution includes a safety data sheet metal rack with a safety data sheet 3-inch binder. The highly visible SDS rack and 3-inch binder provides emergency responders quick access to new SDS sheets in the event of an incident. In addition, only our 3-inch binder has the nine new GHS pictograms stenciled on the front to reinforce training to the new standards. In summary, our solution assists you in meeting the mandatory training requirements for OSHA's new GHS hazard communication standard, sections 1910 through 1200. With the labels and pictogram poster, safety data sheet poster, wallet cards, and safety data sheet rack, and the binder with pictograms on the cover. Thank you so much for stopping by to get this vital information. Bye for now.
