[MUSIC PLAYING] Hey, Dave Kelly here, member of the Aquascape Pond Squad, and also known as the Tech Guy. And today, we're going to take a look at the AquaJet, an all-in-one pump and fountain kit. The AquaJet pump is a submersible fountain pump that is designed to be placed directly into the pond. Now you would not want to submerge most pumps directly in the pond, as they would quickly become clogged with debris, creating a lot of pump maintenance, or even worse, possibly damage the pump. The AquaJet pump, however, is different. It is designed with a durable, pre-filter cage that surrounds the entire pump. The pre-filter cage prevents leaves, algae, and other debris from clogging the pump and fountainheads. The cage also makes the pump safe to use on ponds with fish. The AquaJet includes three different styles of fountainhead fittings to choose from, a foaming jet fountain, water bell fountain, and daisy fountain. Adjustable riser stems included make it simple to adjust the fountainhead to the different lengths, depending on the depth that the pump will be located. The rotational socket at the base of the riser stem allows for simple levering of the fountain during installation. The threaded collar on this fitting enables the AquaJet pump to be installed and removed without the need for any tools. A flow control valve provides the ability to fine tune the spray height and diameter of each of the fountains. The AquaJet also includes an adjustable diverter valve that allows a portion of the pump's water flow to be diverted to additional pond equipment if desired. Simply connect tubing to the divert valve's multihose style connectors, and you can supply water to external filters, so as the pond filter urn, pressure filters, or UV clarifiers. A divert valve can also be used to supply water to a variety of ornamental spitters. The fact of that the AquaJet can be submerged directly in the pond also makes it a great pump to be used as a winter deicer. Remove the fountain fittings, and replace with the multi-hose adapter fitting included with the pump. The AquaJet's flow of water position just below the surface of the pond will keep a hole open in the ice, and ensure that critical oxygen levels and maintained in the pond during the cold winter months. The AquaJet pump is equipped with a magnetic-driven motor, that makes this pump very energy efficient. For example, this AquaJet 1300 produces 1,300 gallons per hour, but uses the same amount of electricity as 100 watt light bulb. The motor on the AquaJet pump consists of only one moving part, the magnetic impeller. The outer pre-filter cage helps protect the pump from debris, and is easy to remove for cleaning. This simple design provides you with years of trouble-free performance, as well as makes the pump very easy to maintain. The pump is completely serviceable, allowing you the ability to easily inspect and replace the impeller if it is ever needed. The AquaJet's combination of energy efficient, mag drive performance, and ease of maintenance makes this pump and fountain kit the choice for discriminating pond owners.
