[MUSIC PLAYING] Hi, I'm Daniella Foletto. I'm an artist, obviously. Anyway, I just would like to say I'm very glad you're here in my outside studio. This is where I paint for many reasons. First of all, the sound of the water is so wonderful and meditative and conducive to creativity, and I have my flowers all around my work. And this is where I feel really peaceful and joyful and very positive. How did I decide to become an artist? Well, at two years old I was starting to paint and to draw. And I continued to do this at 12 years old. I won a big contest from all-- they chose two children from different schools in Paris and the surrounding. I won when I was 12 years old, and it was wonderful. Then I continued to paint and draw on my own, and then I became an artist. What makes me unique as an artist? Well, you can see this is visual art. This is sharing what I feel, what I felt, like all the great artists in this world and the past generations. It's like a boomerang. When they look at the painting, they feel it, and what is in the painting comes back to them. And this is what the painting should do to anybody who collects art. Move. It has to be something inside that moves you, not because it's pretty over your couch, but here. What you feel in here. There is something about an artist. Why do you paint? Why? It's not for fame nor fortune because, you know-- I was successful and am very successful now , as well, but I'm not in a palace. I don't care. The most important thing is to know what you do best, and who you truly are. And I am truly an artist at heart.
