Hi. I'm Mary Rogers and these are our electric rice cookers. This model is our small model. It's able to do four to seven cups of cooked rice. And then this is our larger model, which can do eight to 15 cups of cooked rice. Has lots of features. It also has a steaming basket. You turn this over and what you can do is while you're cooking your rice you can also steam some shrimp or other vegetables. And you just put the lid right on like that so you can do two things at once. Has this beautiful brushed stainless steel housing. Has a removable cooking pot. Two knife handles, so when you want to move your rice cooker around it's really easy. It comes with a rice cup and a rice paddle. And it has a lever that operates the cook or the warm function. And the nice thing about this unit is, once you put in all your ingredients, all you have to do is wait. And as soon as the rice is cooked, it will automatically go on "keep warm." So your rice could be set up any time during the day and be ready for you when you come home at night. So today what we're going to do is we're going to make a wheat berry salad. But first what we're going to do is we're going to add the ingredients into the rice cooker. So we're going to take the lid off, going to add the water first into the cooking pot. And then these wheat berries here were already soaked for about an hour to get them started. We're going to add those in the cooking pot. And then the last ingredient that we're going to add is our salt-- kosher salt. We just add that right in the top. And all you do is put the lid right back on and you turn the pot on "cook." So I just want to show you what you do with the wheat berries after it's done cooking. And what we did here is these are the cooked berries and we've also cooled them off. And what we're going to do is we're going to add this to this bowl. And wheat berries are really good for you. It's also a great way to get a starch in the summertime. You can serve this nice and cool instead of having to eat hot rice, hot berries. We're going to add the corn. Next we're going to add the zucchini, which we shredded, fresh parsley, green onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and then lastly some peppers. And then what we're going to do is we're just kind of toss this. Going to toss this up a little bit. And then what I'm going to do is I'm going to add this red onion vinaigrette. Just drizzle it over the top, give it some extra flavor. Just toss this. You can also use tongs if you want to toss this together. And then what I like to do is I like to let this sit. You can leave it out at room temperature or you can refrigerate it if you want. But it's nice to have it get all incorporated so that your flavors start marrying together and you get a beautiful, beautiful wheat berry salad. So another idea for you is right here we have what's called risi e bisi, which means rice and peas in Italian. And the other thing that we did is we enhanced it with some steamed shrimp, which you can cook right in the steaming pot while the rice is cooking. So it's a nice added way to get another different spin on just plain old rice. So there you have it, our four and eight cup electric rice cookers.
