Panasonic HC-V500 Camcorder: watch this video featuring products available on Costco.com.
Hi, I'm Paul Hochman for The New Simple. Remember the 80s? Camcorders the size of boom boxes? Boom boxes the size of, well, camcorders? Today, the Panasonic HC-V500 full HD camcorder with 2D to 3D conversion fits in the palm of your hand. But it's up to today's quality standards with full HD recording at 1080 60 p and it's loaded with features. Example? A powerful 38x optical zoom, so you can capture distant action with clarity. Optically magnifies the image 38 times at the top of the zoom range. Want to get even closer to that scarlet tanager in the apple tree? Well, enable eye zoom or intelligent zoom. Increases the zoom to 50x while still getting an incredibly sharp picture. Now this is key for full HD video, where even slight movements are magnified. It's also why the V500 has a new five axis optical image stabilization system. Typical image stabilization systems counteract camera shake in four axes, but with five axes, it reduces shake in moments when you're walking or zooming in on a distance object. On the HC-V500, five axis OIS also reduces camera roll. Result? Stable shots, even when you and your subject are in motion. And this feature is so not 1980s. The HC-V500 supports 2D to 3D conversion. Meaning, playback your full HD video in 2D or in 3D on a compatible TV. Now that's progress. I'm Paul Hochman, for The New Simple.
